KARACHI: The US dollar after gaining six paisas against the Pakistani rupee (PKR) on Friday, closed at Rs178.4 in the inter-bank currency market, ARY News reported.

According to forex dealers, the greenback closed at Rs178.4 against the local currency in the inter-bank currency market after gaining six paisas in intra-day trading.
On the other hand, the greenback is being traded at Rs180.20 in the open market.
The PKR rupee had closed at Rs177.98 against the dollar in the interbank market on Thursday.

On the other hand, the Pakistan Stocks Exchange (PSX) on Friday, the last day of the trending week, gained 80 points.
The benchmark KSE-100 index after gaining 80 points closed at 43,811.
During today’s trading shares of 132 companies witnessed a decline, while the share value of 181 companies saw advancement. The shares of 17 companies remained stable and were unchanged.
