IRGC successfully launched “Noor 1” satellite in April 2020. “Noor 2” satellite was also put into orbit in March 2022.

In 2015, Tehran also placed its satellite called “Fajr”, which was able to take and send high-quality photos, into the earth’s orbit.

Despite the unilateral and severe US sanctions, Iran has managed to take great strides in its civilian space program and is among the top 10 countries in the world in the field of satellite development and launch.

“Noor 3” is the latest addition to Iran’s growing fleet of satellites, highlighting the nation’s commitment to enhancing its space technology. The satellite’s successful launch demonstrates Iran’s growing expertise in space exploration and satellite technology.
