Karachi– Former president Pervez Musharraf believes Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf chief Imran Khan cannot break the vote bank of MQM in Karachi.
In an interview, Musharraf said, “Imran Khan has some misunderstanding about Karachi. PTI cannot create a major impact in the city.”
Commenting on polls in NA-246, he predicted that MQM would win its home seat. About the recent raids at Nine Zero, he said that it was a testing time for the MQM.
“I am living in Karachi due to legal issues,” he added.
Musharraf however fully backed the ongoing operation in Karachi. “In my opinion, it is an operation whose credit goes to the army,” he said.
Pakistani troops must not become a part of the proxy war being fought between Iran and Saudi Arabia, he said regarding the Yemen conflict.
He said that Imran Khan was on a solo flight in politics. “Let’s give Imran Khan the credit. He has the personality but he needs to analyze where the problem lies,” he concluded.
