PTCL Group and Pink Ribbon Collaborate For Breast Cancer Awareness Campaign

The collaboration between PTCL Group and Pink Ribbon Pakistan stands as a testament to the transformative power of collective awareness and underscores their joint commitment to fighting breast cancer and ensuring the well-being of women across Pakistan.

Pakistan’s prominent telecom and ICT services provider, PTCL Group (PTCL & Ufone 4G), joined hands with Pink Ribbon Pakistan for a month-long campaign dedicated to educating and enlightening people about breast cancer. The multifaceted campaign underlines PTCL Group’s unwavering commitment to supporting individuals in their battle against breast cancer and its dedicated stance in solidarity with those affected by the disease.

The campaign commenced with the transformation of the official company logos to pink on all digital platforms, symbolizing PTCL Group’s dedication to the cause. Internally, PTCL Group initiated an awareness messaging campaign for its employees, focusing on early detection and prevention of breast cancer.

The awareness drive featured a session held in collaboration with Pink Ribbon, comprising a panel discussion with notable participants. Dr. Erum Najeeb, General Surgeon from Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS), Dr. Asma Mahfooz from PTCL’s Health Team, a breast cancer survivor, and a caregiver to a breast cancer patient engaged in an enlightening discussion, aimed at fostering open dialogues, promoting understanding, and addressing queries to disseminate knowledge about breast cancer effectively.

The campaign further encompassed a range of awareness activities, each strategically designed to educate and encourage employees to actively participate in raising awareness about breast cancer. An exceptional Pink Futsal Match took place between PTCL Group and Eikon 7, uniting in solidarity for the cause.

Throughout October, employees were encouraged to wear pink and make pledges at the Pledge Wall located at Ufone Tower, publicly committing to support the cause. As a remarkable display of unity, Ufone Tower and PTCL’s NEST Office radiantly lit up in pink, offering an emblem of solidarity and community support for breast cancer survivors.

In an additional philanthropic endeavor, a donation drive was executed through UPaisa, and donation boxes were placed in office buildings, channeling contributions toward Pakistan’s first specialized breast cancer hospital.

As Breast Cancer Awareness Month drew to a close, an informative awareness session was conducted at Edhi Homes in Islamabad, dedicated to educating women and young girls about the disease. PTCL Group aspires through this endeavor to emphasize the critical importance of early detection and to cultivate an environment that uplifts survivors and empowers those affected by breast cancer.
