Tatjana Patitz, who rose to fashion fame in the ’90s as an animal-loving supermodel with a piercing gaze, has died, her agent confirmed to CNN. She was 56. Patitz died on Wednesday from breast cancer, her agent Corinne Nicolas told CNN. She’s survived by her son, Jonah. The German-born model appeared on dozens of covers for Vogue and countless other fashion magazines beginning in the 1980s.

20-year-old Indian actress Tunisha Sharma died by suicide on Saturday. The actor was playing the lead role in Ali Baba: Daastan-E-Kabul and took her life on the set of her TV show. As per sources on the set, Tunisha went to the washroom during the tea break. When she did not come back after a long time, people went to check and found her dead. She was rushed to the hospital where she was declared brought dead.

Emmy award-winning US actor Kirstie Alley, star of Cheers and Veronica’s Closet, has died aged 71. Alley’s children True and Lillie Parker said the “fierce” actress died after a short battle with “recently discovered” cancer in an announcement posted on social media today. Kirstie Alley was born in Wichita, Kansas, in 1951. Her first film role was 1982’s Star Trek: The Wrath of Khan, in which she played Vulcan Starfleet officer Lieutenant Saavik.

Ghislaine Maxwell, the British socialite, 60, was sentenced to 20 years in prison on Tuesday for helping the sex offender and globetrotting financier Jeffrey Epstein sexually abuse teenage girls, in what a judge called a “horrific scheme” that inflicted “incalculable” harm on victims. Former Miss Brazil Gleycy Correia died at the age of 27 after suffering a brain haemorrhage and a heart attack following a routine operation to have her tonsils removed. Ms Correia, who was crowned Miss United Continents Brazil in 2018, died at a private clinic on Monday. She had been in a coma for the past two months. She underwent surgery to remove her tonsils but days later she suffered heavy bleeding and had a heart attack on April 4.
Revlon, the 90-year-old cosmetics giant, has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in the Unite States because of its crippling debt and mounting celebrity competition. Revlon CEO Debra Pereiman said the move will allow it to “strategically reorganise” its finances, pointing to “liquidity constraints” sparked by supply chain disruptions and inflation. Revlon is receiving US$575 million (A$815 million) in debtor-in-possession financing to help support its day-to-day operations.

The Sindh High Court directed the Federal Investigation Agency and Pakistan Telecommunication Authority to block defamatory material being disseminated against actor Rabia Iqbal alias Kubra Khan on social media. The interim order came on a petition filed by Khan against “derogatory, defamatory, malicious, incendiary, dangerous and sensationalising allegations” made by YouTuber Adil Farooq Raja against her and three other actors on the social media networking websites.
